the road carries you a little quicker

a placed path, doing what placed paths do now
a placed path, doing what placed paths do now

one small true thing: walking on a placed dirt path is +8% quicker. the tag is datapack-extensible if a pack wants its roads to count, the attribute is added and removed cleanly, and hostiles never get it — the road does not serve the horde. the husky's sled gets the same nudge, behind a loader gate.

small as it is, it is the reason path-laying feels like building infrastructure instead of decorating: the route to the mill is now genuinely the fast way, and a desire line the trodden ground graduates into a real path starts carrying you quicker the day it earns the block.
