seven household figures ride the tail of vanilla's own star draw, in brighter stars: the crow, the candle, the moth, the sled, the letter, the millsail, and the black dog. they wheel once a year on top of the nightly sweep — each figure peaking in its own season, so a glance up says roughly where the year stands — and the black dog stays low on the winter horizon, where a black dog belongs.

the seam is honest: the figures are injected into the game's own sky pass, so dawn, dusk and rain fade them exactly as they fade the stars — inherited, not approximated. and the figures themselves are data — seven json files of star positions anyone can extend, so the sky can learn a new constellation the day the household earns one.

planned: moon-phase brightness, faint connecting hints for learning the shapes, and — someday, with waypost — navigation by stars.
