1.4.2the vial drinks the sky

a glass bottle and an amethyst shard, and that is the whole mod. raise it — really raise it, above fifty degrees of pitch, the sky and not the horizon — and hold use: a chime, a second and a half, and the best thing the sky is doing right now is in the bottle. four moments ship. noon-light wants the sun near the zenith and no rain in the way; moon-water wants a moon well away from new, and a new moon refuses outright; rain wants a biome that actually gets rain, and thunder makes it richer; gust wants weather or height. lose the aim or lose the weather and the whole thing sighs out and hands you back an empty vial, undamaged.
ripeness is glow, not fill level. faint, mellow and ripe share one silhouette and one liquid line and differ only in how much light is in the colour, because the vial is not a measure of anything. what you caught is spent whole, three ways: a tap bursts it where you stand, a held use pours a stream down your look, and a crouched tap up to sixteen blocks off lays the moment on the ground as a field that keeps working on its own, half a minute for the noon and a full three for the rain. noon melts snow and ice and coaxes a crop along; rain wets farmland, douses fire and fills a cauldron; moon lays a dim glade of real light; gust pushes, and pushes items too gently to lose them. no working in this mod deals damage anywhere.
attention is the entire progression. there is no mana, no xp, no bar, no level, no screen — watching the sky simply stops being scenery. this is phase one and says so: storm and hearth, first-frost and aurora, the compound workings and the bell-peal are not built, and the bridges to wind and moth still hand back constants, so a gust today is read off vanilla weather and altitude rather than off a real field.
the three gestures
| gesture | you get |

| crouch and tap at a block | a field laid on the ground, working on its own |
